A Call to Action
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven.”Matthew 16:19
A key comes with a level of accountability and purpose. In business, we are given keys as tools to access the materials and spaces needed to dutifully perform our job responsibilities. As Christians, we have also been assigned eternally significant responsibilities. Jesus tells us to make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20), do good works (Ephesians 2:10), and to love one another (John 13:34).
Like most work this will not be easy, but God has given us the tools and access we need to perform our jobs well. One such tool that we have is each other.
As leaders, we spend 40+ hours of a week at our place of work; time where we interact with and lead people. Our office is a mission field and our teams are not ours, but are children of God. Just like we would receive training for a new job, we need to equip ourselves for leading like Jesus and doing His work in our office. We can learn from each other and can use our time at work to not only build a great product or brand, but to continue building God’s Kingdom, one office at a time.
What do you say? Will you further His kingdom?
