The ancient Greek city of Corinth was destroyed by the Romans in 146 BC. It was rebuilt about 100 years later as a commercial complex and center for cult activity. The Apostle Paul visited there on his second missionary journey, planting a church with the help of Aquila and Pricilla. Many of the converts came from cultic backgrounds, leading to conflicting beliefs and practices.
Paul’s letters to the church in Corinth sought to address many of these issues, some of which are prevalent in today’s society, with the goal of producing a healthy church. Our study of 1 Corinthians will seek to unlock these Biblical truths and identify applications for today.
We plan to meet on Thursdays at 11:30 am. Contact Stuart Holland for additional information.
Thanks to your generous spirits, all volunteer slots for this event have already been filled! Be on the look out for future volunteering opportunities! God bless!

Thank you so much for joining us in the 2018 Global Day of Prayer (GDOP).
Praise the Lord for a wonderful time of worship and we are really blessed for the opportunity to pray with brothers and sisters at ExxonMobil. Even though we were challenged by technical difficulties, God is with us and many were touched by the prayers from all the different nations and cultures.
This year, several new sites such as Tangerang Indonesia and Bogota Colombia have joined us and we are excited to have 700+ contacts on our devotional distribution list and over 350 people from more than 40 sites participated in the GDOP. Below you will find all the selfies from our fellow believers around the world (Do keep the selfies coming!). 🙂
We want to thank Tom Schuessler and Alicia Foo for taking time from their busy schedules to be part of the GDOP. In addition, a special thanks to our faithful GDOP Team who coordinate the global event, putting the materials together and setting up the local meetings. Regional leads, please forward this email to all the site leads and let’s continue to keep in touch and encourage one another.
We have also received great feedback to continue improving the event and please don’t hesitate to share your suggestions with us.
See you in GDOP 2019!
The Catholic Faith Study (CFS) is beginning a 3-part series on the Eucharist, or the Lord’s Supper, as it is sometimes called. We will be studying the origins and the meaning of the Last Supper within the context of the Old Testament (OT) scriptures.
We will be studying how the “types” in the OT pointed to the reality in the New Testament. Types such as the Jewish Passover, the manna from heaven given to the Israelites in the desert and the “Bread of the Presence” (show bread) in the Temple. Join us on Thursdays beginning October 11th, then October 18thand 25th at 11:30PM. Skype connections are available to listen remotely, if you wish.
Contact Henry Avila (firstname.lastname@example.org) to be added to our CFS distribution list or to be invited to this series only.
Audio recording of each session will be available soon after the class is held. Come back and check this CFS web page to find a link to the audio recordings if you wish to listen to the class.
People of all faiths are welcome!
